Real Madrid won big by beating Valencia in the Spanish La Liga match at the home ground on Saturday night. Eventually, Carlo Ancelotti‘s side won 4-1 at the home ground Santiago Bernabeu. At the same time, this win has strengthened their top spot in the La Liga points table. Brazilian star Vinicius Junior scored twice on his return to the field in this match.  Karim Benzema also scored the same number of goals as Vinisius.

Benzema reached a milestone

Real Madrid, who dominated at Santiago Bernabeu from the start of the match, wasted a few early chances but took the lead in the 43rd minute. Real got a penalty when Casemiro was fouled in the D-box. Subsequently, Benzema pierced the opponent’s net with a great spot kick. The French forward touched a 300-goal milestone with this goal.

The host increased the lead

The host doubled the gap in the seventh minute of the second half. Vinicius sneaked into the D-box and evaded the goalkeeper. He further increased the gap with his second goal in the 61st minute. Asensio‘s goalbound shot from Benzema’s pass was pushed by Cillessen but could not free up the danger. The Brazilian forward Vinicius  headed the ball into the empty net.

Valencia reduced the gap

Thibaut Courtois kept the net intact in a superb seve in the 63rd minute. The Belgian goalkeeper, diving to the right, thwarted a powerful shot, from outside the D-box, by Danish midfielder Daniel Wass. In the 75th minute, Mendy fouled Marcos Andre in the D-box and the referee rightfully awarded a penalty to Valencia. However, Courtois  saved Gedes‘ spot kick initially, but the Portuguese forward headed the return ball into the net.
